Cork Oak
An organic surface experience that brings the bark texture of natural cork into architecture through modern composite engineering.
Cork Oak wall panel is a decorative surface solution that reproduces the characteristic pores of cork bark using a high-performance composite panel system. Its large-format panel structure, detailed surface embossing, and durable composite core are engineered for both interior spaces and suitable exterior façade applications.
Designed for enhanced strength, low weight, and 3D surface realism, this product provides professional-grade quality for wall, ceiling, and decorative cladding in contemporary architectural projects.

- Technical DescriptionCork Oak is a three-dimensional cladding panel created by reinterpreting the surface character of natural cork bark through composite surface production techniques. The irregular pore distribution and micro relief–depression relationships that define bark texture are transferred precisely from high-accuracy molds, realistically reproducing the random topography of the natural material. Depending on the direction of light, this three-dimensional structure generates dynamic shadow behavior that adds depth, warmth, and organic movement to the space.
The panel core is built upon an advanced composite structure consisting of mineral fillers, resin-based binders, and continuous fiber reinforcement. The fiber component enhances impact resistance, while mineral additives strengthen dimensional stability and ensure low thermal expansion, preventing deformation under temperature fluctuations. This structure provides linear stability across large surfaces and maintains its form even under high thermal loads, ensuring long-term durability.
The surface texture of Cork Oak contributes directly to both optical and mechanical performance. The natural topography formed by relief depths distributes impact energy across the surface, reducing micro-cracking risks. At the same time, it improves interior acoustics by reducing mid-frequency sound reflections. UV-stabilized pigments and weather-resistant resin composition allow the panel to withstand sunlight, humidity, water vapor, and thermal cycling without fading, chalking, or surface deterioration. Mineral components retain elastic behavior during freeze–thaw cycles, preventing delamination or peeling.
Its lightweight structure imposes minimal load on supporting systems during installation, making it especially advantageous for renovation projects. Mechanical fastening (screw–dowel) provides strong anchorage without compromising the composite’s internal integrity. Its workability allows cutting, shaping, and easy adaptation to service installations, offering high application flexibility in architectural projects with dense technical detailing.
Thanks to its fiber-reinforced composite structure, three-dimensional surface embossing, thermal stability, impact resistance, acoustic contribution, and UV–moisture durability, Cork Oak is engineered to deliver long-lasting performance in both interior applications and protected exterior environments. Its ability to cover large surfaces with minimal joints and its rhythmic surface topography create a visually strong and functionally efficient architectural solution.
The product’s material composition and manufacturing approach align naturally with sustainability criteria. The low density of composite components increases energy efficiency during production and transportation, while long service life and low maintenance reduce environmental impact throughout its lifespan. Free of harmful chemicals, it supports indoor air quality and provides a safe surface for users. This technical approach ensures strong compatibility with LEED, BREEAM, and WELL certification goals in areas such as material health, durability, resource efficiency, and indoor comfort.
Cork Oak is an innovative surface panel that merges the geological character of natural cork with contemporary material technology, standing out as both an aesthetic and technical solution for modern architecture. - FormatsPanel Size: 270 cm × 120 cm [h] (± 1%)Panel Thickness: ~ 6–17 mmTexture Depth: ~ 5–10 mmWeight: ~ 6.5–7 kg/m²
