In the Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort project, Artstone comb-textured plaster panels were selected to break the sense of monotony across large wall surfaces and to define architectural volumes through a controlled and refined texture. In line with the project’s intended minimalist and timeless spatial language, a key design criterion was for the surfaces to support the architecture without overpowering it.
Artstone was preferred due to its homogeneous surface quality, natural and matte texture character, and its ability to provide continuity in large-scale applications. The comb-textured plaster surface creates depth through its interaction with light, strengthening spatial perception while adding rhythm to the space without producing a decorative effect.
During the implementation process, the panels’ controlled production tolerances, compatibility with detailed design solutions, and contribution to faster installation offered significant advantages at the scale of the project. The ability to apply the same surface language consistently across different spaces further reinforced the overall design cohesion.
Following completion, the Artstone surfaces received positive feedback from both users and the client for creating a natural, calm, and high-quality spatial atmosphere. The timeless character of the surfaces contributed to establishing a sense of luxury defined not by ostentation, but by architectural quality.
